I recently had the opportunity to photograph a friend’s wedding in Livermore, CA where she said “I Do” a second time around for friends and family who missed the original wedding when the couple eloped in Las Vegas last year.
Jennifer and James were very laid-back about the wedding, so photographing them was a fun, stress-free experience for me. Jennifer was gorgeous and funny throughout the day, while James was relaxed and very helpful, even offering to help carry my camera equipment!
Jennifer’s sister and James’ father were on hand to help them prep for the day. His entire family flew in from Canada, as did the couple, so they could celebrate with both families and their friends on the west coast.
After Jennifer and James were dressed and ready for the day, the three of us went to the wedding location, Concannon Winery in Livermore, to get some awesome photos of the two of them. The winery location was a nice change from the beach scenery I’m used to seeing on Maui. Beaches are lovely, don’t get me wrong, but it was nice to change it up a bit!
After finishing up the couple’s portraits, Jennifer and James mingled with guests before the ceremony. Then everyone gathered outside the reception area for the ceremony. Jenn’s dad walked her down the aisle and her brother Christopher officiated.

With Christopher officiating, there was definitely not a dull moment during the nuptials!
The evening, of course. ended with a very fun reception at the winery with the couple dining, toasting and mingling with their loved ones.
