How Do I Choose a Package?

How Do I Choose a Package? ~ Most photographers offer a few different packages for clients to choose from. Some people get overwhelmed trying to decide on one. Here are some things to think about when trying to decide on the package that is best for you:

~How are you going to use the images?  Think about what you ultimately want, product-wise, to take away from your session. Do you want a photo album full of images from your session? Do you want a nice large piece of wall art to put above your couch or fireplace? Do you want a variety of prints to gift for Christmas or put around your house. Once you figure out how you want to use the images, it will be much easier deciding on which package to choose!

~Do you want all the digital files so that you can reprint them on your own or share the images on social media? You will want a package that includes digital files then. Some photographers have packages that include digital files but not all do. Make sure to find out before you choose your photographer and package.

~Do you want to add a la carte items to your package?  Most photographers also offer a la carte items which can be added to any package to customize it to exactly what that client wants.

I have clients who only want the digital files. This is great for do-it-your-selfers who are good at following up on projects such as photo albums and print enlargements.

Then I also have clients who don’t want the hassle of going back to the images later, finding all the ones they want in an album or for prints and then finding a company to do the album or prints for them. If you can afford to have the photographer do this for you, it will save you the time and trouble later on. Professional photographers also have pro labs they use for the finest quality images.
