Allow Me to Capture Your Moments
What brings us joy? I think most of us would agree we get the most happiness and joy from the time we spend with our family and friends. But often times we don’t bother to capture those memories….
Over the years, our memories fade, but if we have pictures to look at, we are taken right back to that moment in time. The way we felt when we saw our parents laughing. The music we listened to. The smells that remind us of our childhoods. Pictures are vital to remembering our pasts. Don’t let those memories be forgotten. Don’t let the years with your kids go by without a family photo being taken. They’re important. They’re what binds us to our past.
When looking for a Denver family photographer to document and capture the important times with and of your family, it’s important to find someone who has experience in capturing moments, interactions, facial expressions, subtle body language. This takes time, patience and training. With my years of experience in news and portrait photography, I have photographed countless families and had been able to hone the skills needed to photograph people in a meaningful way. With so many beautiful locations and backdrops in the Denver area, I can capture your family in a fun, easy session so that Mom is happy with the photos and Dad and the kids are amazed at how quickly the time went.
Leave the Stress At Home
I also want this experience to be a stress-free one for you and your family. I strive to make it that way so that you can enjoy your photo session and leave the work and worry to me. We will communicate before the photo session so that I know exactly what you want and make sure you are happy with the pictures we create together.

If you need a photographer… Robin is the best!
“Robin is an excellent photographer and a pleasure to work with. My family and I could not be happier with how our pictures turned out. Our friends and family were blown away with how good they look. Robin has a great eye and made several very good suggestions. She is also extremely professional and her website has a lot helpful tips on how to prepare for the photo shoot. To top it off, Robin got the finished pictures to us less than 24 hours after the shoot. We were very satisfied with the entire experience. If you need a photographer… Robin is the best!”

Family Portrait Photo Pricing
The session fee is $199 for the session alone. Most people opt for a package though and these range from $599-1799. The session fee is included in the package price. Packages are a much better value and were created to cater to what most people like to order. Packages include some or all of the following: various sized prints, mounted wall prints, canvas, acrylic or metal enlargements, photo album, digital images, etc. Contact me for a breakdown of the packages. If you choose to only purchase the session fee alone, you can purchase a la carte items during your viewing, but you can also purchase a package and the session fee will be deducted from the package price. This gives you flexibility if you don’t want to commit to a package up front.
FAQs About Family Portrait Photography
How Do I Choose a Photographer?
Choosing the right photographer can be overwhelming these days with the amount of photographers there are to choose from. I’ve broken down for you, in eight steps, things to think about when deciding on the best photographer for you. See my article with my top ten tips for choosing a photographer.
How Do I Choose a Package?
This too can be overwhelming so I try to keep as simple as possible by offering just three packages. These are created based on what most people like to order. I also allow clients to interchange items for products that are equivalent in value. So basically, we can create a package customized for you! Here is an article I wrote with some more tips and things to think about when deciding on a package.
When Should We Book Our Photo Session?
Fall is the most popular time of year for family photos in Denver, however, I book family sessions all year long. There are so many beautiful spots in Denver that are photographable all year long. If you have a favorite spot, I can photograph you there. Or if you want me to come to your home and photograph your family in the backyard, I can do that too. It’s best to book several weeks or even months in advance.
What Time of Day is Best for a Photo Session?
Sunset is the most popular time because of the nice soft light and beautiful sunsets we have here in Denver. However, if you have young kids, I recommend doing a morning session as kids do best at this time. Think about the time of day your family is most alert and in a good mood. Weekends are the most popular time to schedule a session but I have more availability on a weekday.
How Should We Prepare for Our Photo Session?
Preparing for your session is almost as important as the session itself! Most important is for everyone to be well-rested! Here is an article I wrote with tips on how to prepare for your photo session.
Robin made the entire process effortless.
“We decided to do a photo session during our family vacation in Maui this past June. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this experience was…from making the arrangements to receiving the finished product. We are a family consisting of dad, mom, 3 adult daughters, a son-in-law, and a newborn. Robin was patient and understanding, particularly with the infant. She captured so many beautiful shots – both candid and posed. It was truly the most relaxed experience we’ve ever had taking family photos. Robin made the entire process effortless. She was available for questions leading up to the appointment and offered lots of expert suggestions. We filled out the questionnaire ahead of time so she already had an idea of personalities and the family dynamic. What I found amazing is that, based on the questionnaire answers (no physical descriptions), she greeted everyone by name. Robin is observant, professional, and laid back…all of these things created a relaxed atmosphere, which is evident in our photos. We had a blast doing this and we have our beautiful photos that capture this vacation. I highly recommend her for your photo session – you won’t regret it!”
