Mother/Daughter Photo Shoot at Kountze Lake in Belmar Park
When Kellie Swanson asked me to photograph her and her daughter Annabelle, 4, recently, I suggested we do it at Kountze Lake at Belmar Park in Lakewood. It's a beautiful spot that has a covered bridge over the lake, a small inlet good for taking photos with kids, a gazebo, an island in the middle of the lake occupied by several species of birds, and a nice walking trail that loops 1.8 miles around the lake. Photo Shoot at Roxborough State Park
Roxborough State Park might be a bit of a drive from Denver, 35 miles, but for families who already live down south or those who just want the beautiful huge rock formations as a backdrop for their images, the drive is well worth it! Denver’s City Park is a Great Location for Family Photo Session

There is so much to explore at this beautiful urban park just east of downtown Denver! As a Denver family photographer, I love this location because I can get lots of different backgrounds at all times of the year. This is one of the only city and mountain views at sunset in the city. Ferril ... Read More about Denver’s City Park is a Great Location for Family Photo Session
Denver Family Photo Session at Commons Park and Millenium Bridge
Fall is a very popular time for Denver families to request photo shoots. Living close to downtown Denver, I'm familiar with a lot of good urban locations which some Denver Moms love as a photo backdrop. Millenium Bridge/Commons Park near the Platte River is a fun spot with lots of different visually appealing aspects to it. I recently photographed the Nguyen family there. Huyen, her husband Truong, and their two kids Jennifer, 2, and Jason, 4, were all in for this urban shoot! When we first arrived, we had to walk a little ways from where we parked to get to the interesting parts of the ... Read More about Denver Family Photo Session at Commons Park and Millenium Bridge
